Frequently asked questions
Is Physical Therapy right for me?
Physical therapy embraces a holistic approach to wellness, recognizing that physical health is interconnected with mental and emotional well-being. While physical therapy often helps relieve pain, it can also be used to move better, get stronger, return to activity or sport, and even prevent injuries! At Pratt Physical Therapy, we make physical therapy work for you to accomplish your goals. Whatever matters to you, matters to us.
Do I need a referral from my physician prior to coming to physical therapy?
Nope! Colorado is a direct access state for physical therapy, allowing you to start physical therapy at any time, without seeing any other medical practitioner first. Physical therapists now have a doctorate degree to allow them to screen for non-musculoskeletal conditions to assess if someone is appropriate for physical therapy.
What if I think I need imaging?
Nope! You can come right into physical therapy. If your physical therapist feels imaging would be appropriate, they will refer you for imaging as necessary.
Do you take insurance?
At We Are Meant To Move, we are out-of-network with all insurance companies. This means that we do not bill directly to insurance. Insurance companies limit the services that can be provided, and to give you the best care possible, we prefer to take insurance out of the equation.
Do you accept HSAs or FSAs?
Yes! We happily accept both HSAs and FSAs as payment.
Can I submit to insurance on my own?
Yes, if you wish to submit for compensation to your insurance company, upon request, your therapist can provide you with a Superbill to submit to your insurance. It is the patients’ responsibility to confirm with their insurance that they can submit a Superbill for payment.
